Crafting Camera Confidence

podcast Feb 01, 2022

Does the idea of standing and presenting in front of a camera terrify you?

Have you ever wondered how the wonderful people on TV manage it with such ease and authenticity?

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with the remarkable Shelly Horton. Shelly is a journalist for Channel 9 and 9Honey, an incredible MC, and an inspiring presentation and media trainer. Her career began on ABC radio working as a crime reporter before becoming an entertainment presenter in London on Channel One. She’s sharing her amazing journey with you today with openness and humour.

Shelly has become an ambassador for women’s issues that are socially considered taboo. She hosts her own podcast with Dr Ginni Mansberg called “Things you can’t talk about on TV” where they discuss everything from semen to periods. She’s made it her goal to help bring these conversations to the forefront and encourage people to feel comfortable.

To help you develop your on-camera skills, Shelly has used her knowledge and experience to create a range of courses that help you to build your on-camera presence, presentation skills and self-confidence. Shelly discusses what the courses entail and how she loves working one-on-one with people to ensure they’re ready for the lens. You can benefit from her expertise by heading over to her website and checking them out.

I could’ve chatted to Shelly for hours! I know you’ll enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed bringing it to you.
