🐶 My latest side hustle

You know I’m always up for a creative side hustle – especially when it involves puppies, people, and a little help towards the kitchen renovation fund!

So… Hubby and I recently signed up for MadPaws – a pet sitting app that connects dog owners with local carers. (You can view our profile here.)

We’ve got the space.
Bailey and Marmite LOVE meeting new four-legged friends.
And honestly? It’s a great way to meet more people, keep the pups social, and earn a bit of extra cash doing something we genuinely enjoy.

Naturally, our profile is the only one on the app featuring professional doggy headshots – because when your mum works in video production and runs a magazine she always says yes to a few cheeky photos whenever a camera’s nearby, and your dogs end up with a portfolio!

But here’s the best part…
This isn’t even our first MadPaws moment.

Years ago, back when my film studio shared a building with the MadPaws office, one of my team members Rachel signed us up.
Why? She wanted more puppies visiting the studio.
We didn’t question it – and used the extra funds to fuel Friday staff drinks. Priorities 😅

Fast forward to now, and we’re back at it – this time from home, with puppies of our own in the mix, a kitchen fund on the go, and a much stronger love for quiet connection and paw-some company.

It’s a beautiful little reminder that side hustles don’t have to be big or serious to make a difference.
Sometimes they’re playful.
Sometimes they’re practical.
And sometimes they’re just another way of saying yes to fun, community and doing things your own way.

And if we get more scone-worthy stories or muddy paw prints along the way? Even better.
