You see, at the beginning of every financial year I buy a case of my favourite champagne (Veuve Clicquot). I line them up along the bottom shelf of my fridge and I put post-it notes on them detailing my big scary goals. Every time I go into the fridge I’m reminded of my goals and when a goal is reached, my reward is to celebrate with my fancy bubbles and celebrate my achievement.

I questioned whether to share this milestone on social media yesterday and today in my newsletter and this blog post because I know the last 18 months has been incredibly hard for a lot of people. This milestone for me is more than just hitting a target. It signifies resilience, courage and a hell of a lot of grit.

It was almost 10 years in the making but yesterday’s champagne ‘pop’ was in celebration of cracking the big 7-figure mark for the last financial year! 

Globally, 1/3 of businesses are owned by women (up 46% in the last decade). Of these, less than 2% of female business owners turn over 7 figures in 12 months. I am beyond proud to have beaten these odds!

There were times when I thought it wasn’t going to happen because last year threw a lot of s**t but after an enormous pivot in 2020, harnessing on a decade of experience, supporting the businesses around us and trusting in my incredible team of video ninjas around the globe, we did it.

I couldn’t be more proud but I also couldn’t have done it on my own.

So today, this blog post is to say THANK YOU! 🏻
