Yes, I’m working in a construction zone.
Oct 14, 2025This week, I’m getting a brand new kitchen and a brand new wardrobe.
Exciting, right?
Well… yes.
But let me be real for a minute – the last month has been chaos.
My kitchen? A shell.
Cooking? Happening in the dining room, with a makeshift setup that would challenge even the most creative of home chefs (yes, even me).
The dining room? Packed.
My bedroom? Still full of moving boxes.
The guest room? Now my temporary wardrobe – racks of clothes everywhere while the actual wardrobe gets built.
My old office – the one with the pink wall – is officially my office again, but the internet is patchy at best.
And just this morning, the curtains for the main rooms arrived… but I haven’t ordered the curtain poles yet. Naturally.
And all of this?
Happening while running a full Airbnb, dog sitting through MadPaws, and keeping my business humming along.
But here’s the thing...
Despite the dust, the dogs, and the daily juggle – things are moving.
– My clients are being served with love and care.
– My website’s had a full overhaul.
– I’ve just been accepted by a speaker bureau (yay!).
– The next issue of Mid-Western Living is shaping up beautifully.
Not because it’s been easy.
But because it’s been intentional.
Planning.
Patience.
And a whole lot of determination.
Here’s the thing:
There will always be seasons of chaos – in life and in business.
Waiting for things to be calm and perfectly put-together before taking action?
It’ll keep you stuck.
Sometimes you have to build while the dust settles.
Create in the mess.
And trust yourself to hold it all, imperfectly but powerfully.
So if you’re feeling surrounded by the metaphorical (or literal) chaos –
Keep going.
You’re doing better than you think.
