Self-doubt happens to the best of us

Today’s episode is all about self-doubt. I’m not talking about those little niggly voices we normally associate with self-doubt. I’m talking about looking to the future and wondering if you can make your dreams a reality.

I share how the time I spent overseas over the past six weeks has given me the space to think about my business and where I want to go next. I was invited to speak at a retreat in Spain and it was both wonderful and discombobulating. Talking about my alopecia journey, how I’ve built my seven-figure business and how I’ve leaned into self-love rather than self-loathing was incredible but it was the impact on the audience that made me rethink absolutely everything.

I reveal how since that event, I’ve started offering coaching sessions and speaking gigs and the response has been incredible! However, the idea of being more visible fills me with dread - I’m sure it does for you too. But truth be told, it’s actually a little bit exciting to be super visible and to get those dreams made into reality.

So in the episode today I discuss how I confront and wrestle with self-doubt and what this has looked like for me.

If you’ve got the negative voice that is yelling “why would anyone listen to me”, I’m here to tell you that that voice is not going away, it’s just a matter of seeing it for what it is - a load of junk.

I’m pushing through the self-doubt and sharing my story so that you can grow your business, your life and your self-love.

What is that one thing you can do between now and the new year that pushes you out of your comfort zone and brings you one step closer to living your dream life?

Topics discussed:

[1:15]: Today’s episode is all about self-doubt. I’m not talking about those niggly voices we normally associate with self-doubt. I’m talking about looking to the future and wondering if you can have everything you’ve dreamed of, whether you can make your dreams a reality, and if you can actually achieve it.

[2:30]: The conversations I’ve had with friends and family over the past few weeks have highlighted to me that the way I’m building and scaling my business is inspiring.

[3:49]: I’ve been away for the past six weeks - in Hawaii, New York and Spain which has given me space to think about my business.

[4:20]: I was asked to talk at a retreat in Spain, doing a deep dive into my story as a fireside chat.

[5:32]: Talking about the alopecia journey, how I’ve built the seven-figure business and how I’ve leaned into self-love rather than self-loathing was incredible but it was the impact on the audience that made me rethink absolutely everything.

[6:45]: It’s super scary to put yourself our there, be vulnerable and share how you’ve done what you’ve done. It’s made me feel discombobulated. How have I become the person that makes people want to listen to me?

[7:36]: The idea of being more visible in that space feels both exciting and daunting. Upon putting up an option for booking power hour sessions I got multiple bookings within the week.

[9:05]: I am also offering speaking gigs, based on various topics such as growing confidence and growing your 7-figure business in a pandemic and I’ve already had speaking gigs booked.

[10:21]: 2023 brings a huge new range of changes. I’m sharing this because self-doubt happens to everyone. It was hard for me to share this, as I was scared of the kickback and comments.

[11:16]: The idea of being more visible fills me with dread - I’m sure it does for you too. But truth be told, it’s kind of a little bit exciting to be super visible and to get those dreams made into reality.

[11:57]: If you got the negative voice that says “why would anyone listen to me”, I’m here to tell you that they’re not going to go away. They’ll always come up with excuses as to why you can’t make your dreams a reality, live your best life and design your life the way you want to live it, but it’s all a load of junk.

[12:43]: Our bodies put resistance against new experiences, and it comes from a place of protection. The long-term effects of not stepping up will just fuel self-doubt.

[12:30]: Rather than let the negativity spiral out of control and less than 50 days until 2023 is here, what can you do right now that pushes you out of your comfort zone? That helps rewire your mind and your body out of that negative cycle and into something new and powerful.

[14:10]: Listening to this short sweet episode please know I’m also human but I’m pushing through and sharing my story so that you can grow your business, your life and your self-love.

[14:30]: What is that one thing you can do between now and the new year that pushes you out of yoru comfort zone and brings you one step closer to living your dream life?
